Heartstrings: Episode 1 Recap

 
The premiere of Heartstrings offered mostly light-hearted fare, with a bit of tension and angst sprinkled throughout. Hopefully, this first episode is indicative of the tone of the rest of the series, because it was enjoyable enough. It started out a bit hodge podgey, but found itself by the end of the hour and I didn't have much to complain about.

Wahhhhh. I can't even go to sleep for a few hours without missing something epic. Amidst my morning (afternoon) ritual of waking up and checking soompi, allkpop and all my normal blogs, I found THIS.

Ah, I just can't seem to get enough. I'm so in love with this show already and it hasn't even started. It'll be good to see Park Shin-hye in a less-meek role (I haven't seen Goong S, but I hear she played a Queen B?) opposite a much-needfully snarky Jung Yong-hwa... though my skeptical mind is still not 100% convinced of his improved acting skills. We shall see come next week.

Anyway, MBC's new drama, Heartstrings, starring Jung Yong-hwa and Park Shin-hye from You're Beautiful starts in about two weeks, following the conclusion of Best Love.

I mentioned a few days ago that my first recap project would probably be the new MBC drama Heartstrings which begins on June 29th.

To Recap or Not to Recap

So, I've been playing around with the idea of recapping dramas for the last couple of days. I want to do it, but it's such a huge endeavor that I don't know how successful I'd be at it.

And additionally, I can't decide which drama to start with. Do I want to recap something I've watched in the past? Or do I want to recap something I haven't watched? Or, even, do I want to recap a currently-airing show?

Whatever I decide (probably by the end of today), I'll edit into this post.

Edit: A bit late, but I've decided I won't start any recaps right now. My first will be Heartstrings (MBC, starring Park Shin-hye and Jung Yong-hwa from You're Beautiful) which starts on June 29th. Hopefully, that won't be too massive of an undertaking considering I start my third and last class of the summer the following week. Regardless, I'll give it a shot since no one's reading the blog yet, lol.
