Han Ye-seul's mother arrives in Korea to resolve the 'Myung-wol' situation

If you've been keeping an eye on Korean entertainment news at all lately, you'll know about Han Ye-seul's abrupt departure from the production of her spy rom com Spy Myung-wol on August 14. Now, it seems, her mother has arrived in Korea to straighten things out.

The current situation has left the show in a lurch as both KBS and Lee Kim productions (the company producing Spy Myung-wol) attempt to figure out what's going on. They're not the only ones confused, however, as even her management company, Sidus HQ, has been left in the dark regarding the actress's whereabouts.

On the 15th, reports of Han Ye-seul departing to the United States were made public, and KBS released a statement that they would be suing the actress for damages if she didn't return to the shooting site by noon on the 16th.

Next came the news that Han Ye-seul may have left the country with plans to marry her boyfriend, a successful entrepreneur, thus ending her acting career altogether.

None of the reports of Han departing for Los Angeles have been confirmed. The management are only aware of her real name "Leslie Kim" being on the departure list.

In an even stranger turn of events, not a day after Han left the country, her mother arrived at Incheon International Airport. It is unclear whether the actress was aware of her mother's trip and the management is unsure whether she even left the country in the first place.

At any rate, things are confused over at KBS as everyone scrambles to figure out what's going on and what action to take. Whether Han Ye-seul will be persuaded to come back or a new actress asked to replace her, whether KBS and Sidus will be suing her or not, pretty much everything is unclear at this point.

Wow. Just... wow. They don't even know if she left the country? You'd think... Anyway, she's unreachable and the only one willing to talk is momma. Sidus promises to release a statement as soon as possible, and it's been implied that maybe some headway will be made by the 17th.

I sure as hell hope so. For the sake of the drama, as well as everyone directly involved with it.
