Superhero movies are a growing trend these days. To some, they're like crack and too much is never enough. To others, like me, who are self-proclaimed movie buffs but not devout comic book geeks, they're like any other movie.

Hunger Games: Poster and First Stills
So, I'm like a total sucker for both The Hunger Games series and The Mortal Instruments. Bad casting (IMO) for TMI aside, I think the production for the Suzanne Collins series did a fantastic job. They picked bright, up-and-coming stars for their leads, and equally perfect supporting characters.

The Amazing Spider-Man: First Trailer
So, Tobey Maguire fell a little short of my ideal Spider-man, yah know? I was one of those people that never found him very attractive, and thought he looked a bit goofy playing nerdy Peter Parker. That's why, when it came out that the entire Spider-Man franchise was getting a reboot, I got really excited. And the fact that Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) got the title role made it even more exciting.

Footloose Remake: First Impressions
The classic '80s flick Footloose is being remade and I'm not sure how to feel about that. That's not to say I'm a huge fan of the original. In fact, it's at the bottom of my list of favorite '80s movies. So does that mean I'm going to automatically love the remake? Not necessarily. I'm wary of remakes in general because a lot gets lost in the transformation.

First Impressions: One Day
Since I started this blog, I haven't written about anything other than Korean dramas. I'm an Indian college student living in America, and I've been writing about Korea. How incredibly strange is that? So, I'm taking a moment to talk about something... relevant (to me, I guess).
